Champ AKC title 1

Learn how your retriever can earn an

AKC “Junior Hunter” Title!

Sign up to attend this FREE AKC “Junior” Hunt Test Open House that will begin at 8:15 AM on Saturday, September 7th, at the North Dakota Retriever Club, 8335 US Highway 10, Glyndon, MN 56547.

There will be approximately 15 retrievers being tested against the AKC Junior Hunter Test Standards.  Any retriever that meets the Junior hunt test standards will receive a ribbon. The testing begins a 9:00 AM and usually takes about 3-4 hours to complete.  The event atmosphere is informal so wear camo or dark colored clothing, bring a comfortable folding chair, sunscreen and a great attitude toward learning. Sit in the spectator gallery to watch the dogs perform and stay as long as your schedule allows.  You can even attend the “Award” ceremony at the clubhouse at the end of the event.

  • A “Junior” Hunt Test is not a competition.  Every retriever can earn a “ribbon” if they meet the test standards.
  • Watch young retrievers perform both “land” and “water” retrieves.
  • Observing an AKC Hunt Test is FREE!
  • Learn how you and your retriever can use the North Dakota Retriever Club’s grounds and training resources to prepare for the tests, pass and earn an AKC Junior Hunter title for your retriever.

Since this AKC Junior hunt test event is a learning opportunity for you, please leave your retrieving superstar at home.
